GROUPS

We’re built to journey together.

The heart of our church is the network of groups where we gather to build friendships and grow in our faith.

We’d love for you to find a group based on your church location or interests. They offer a great space to meet new people and help you find community.

If you’re new to faith, then a great way to get involved with a group of people who are also on the start of their journey is to sign up for Alpha - a ten-week course that introduces the basics of Christian faith in an open and informal setting.

FAQ

  • 1) We think everyone works so hard through the year that having some downtime from official gatherings makes sense. It gives a few weeks of sabbath for those who are hosting and facilitating, as well as releasing people over the summer break for holidays etc.

    2) Having a window to encourage people to sign up for small groups means that there is a real buy-in, a commitment being made for the year to that group.

    3) Having a sign up window every September serves to highlight and promote small groups at the start of the academic year for those who may be new to Rising Brook.

  • No. If you are already in small group and would like to remain there, just let your small group leader know at the end of the year and you will be able to continue on with the group

  • Yes. The website will always show where groups have availability and you can submit a request to join a group at anytime and one of our team will be in touch.

  • Don’t worry! Drop us an email and we’ll see if there’s something we can do to accommodate you.

  • We think it’s really helpful to commit regularly to your small group to get the most out of it. Forming those supportive relationships takes time and consistency, therefore we would love for people to feel that they could commit to seeing through at least the full year with their group. We also know that life circumstances change very quickly and it’s not always possible to attend regularly, or at all. If you are considering leaving your group we would encourage you to chat with your small group leader. If that’s not possible then do get in touch so we can help with your situation.
