Big Church Weekend Away

EVENT INFO

We're looking forward to going away as one big church family next weekend. We can't wait to spend time together building relationships, getting to know new people, eating together and spending times in teaching & worship in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Event programme:

  • Our programme content will be covered the five stages of our discipleship pathway, which we call The Journey. We'll be joined by guests Pete Everitt (Lead Pastor at The Well Church, Retford) in the adults programme and Sandeep & Dalu (youth leaders at Excel Church, Bilston) in the youth programme, who will help us look at discipleship transformation with fresh eyes.

  • The five main sessions are taking place at Friday 8pm, Saturday 9:45am, 11:30am & 4:30pm, and Sunday 11:45am.

  • We will have an indoor space available for spending time together outside of the teaching sessions. It will have a tuck shop and be the perfect place for a game so bring your board games along!

Food & drinks:

  • Half-board meals included: Saturday breakfast & evening meal, Sunday breakfast & lunch.

  • On Friday evening, there is no catered meal so please eat before you arrive.

  • On Saturday lunchtime, please join us by bringing a picnic to the field where we can all gather and eat together. (This includes those on half-board option as there is no Saturday lunchtime meal.)

  • On Saturday afternoon we will be joining together for an afternoon tea. We will be providing scones and an alternative of gluten free scones. If you have any other dietary needs then please bring something with you that will be suitable for you.

  • On the Sunday afternoon, lunch (for half-board) will be at 1pm and our team will be packing down and leaving by 3pm.

  • Breakfast is included for those who have booked half board catering.

  • Hot drinks will be provided during break times but please bring whatever you need to make drinks in your accommodation outside of those times.

  • We'll be running our own tuck shop on site (cans, sweets, chocolate, biscuits) which will take cash or card payments.

Arrival instructions:

  • You can arrive from 4:30pm at Cefn Lea when our check-in point will open in the main reception area. You'll be given your programme, wristbands, accommodation information, maps, keys and can register any children.

  • After registration, you will then be directed to your accommodation to settle in or pitch up.

  • Directions - As you enter Newtown continue on the A483 to the fourth set of traffic lights (Lidl junction) and turn left under the railway bridge towards Llandrindod Wells. Stay on this road (A483) for exactly 5.5 miles and Cefn Lea is on the right-hand side (Do not turn off the A483 road until you see the Cefn Lea sign).
