We have connections with many local community groups, and we get involved in supporting our community in lots of different ways.

Fountains Counselling

Fountains Counselling Service offers a confidential service to people seeking to work through difficulties by providing a caring relationship within agreed boundaries. The service is open to anyone, regardless of race, class, religion or gender, faith or no faith and is a voluntary organisation staffed by qualified counsellors who are members of local Christian churches.

The Youth Net

The Youth Net is an interchurch organisation working in local high schools and with young people from across the churches in Stafford borough. The Youth Net emerged from Rising Brook and is now supported by churches of all denominations. Their vision is to see children and young people flourish socially, emotionally, educationally and spiritually.

Signposts Services

Signposts Services - a Rising Brook initiative - was set up originally in partnership with local government, health services and the police, to provide a wide range of services for the community on Highfields including support, advocacy, hospitality and companionship.  It has since developed into the Community in Action arm of Rising Brook operating out of all our locations.

Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA)

The Staffordshire and Shropshire branch of the Christian Motorcyclists Association meet monthly at Rising Brook Community Church.

Street Pastors

Stafford Street Pastors are one of the group of Ministries and Churches which make up Love Stafford. We offer caring, listening and practical help to anyone on our streets between 10.30pm and 4am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Staffordshire Pirang Partnership

The Staffordshire Pirang Partnership is a locally based community link between Staffordshire and Pirang in The Gambia committed to empowering individuals and organisations, to help communities flourish.

With several programmes running between our two communities and exciting new projects planned, we are working to build a greater future for local people in The Gambia. Come and join us on this Gambian adventure.

South Asia

We take seriously the special place in God’s heart for the poor and the marginalised, which is why we have a particular interest in work among such people in South Asia. We do this through DFN UK, a humanitarian charity supporting indigenous programmes designed to bring freedom and dignity through education, healthcare, economic empowerment and trafficking prevention among Dalit and other low-caste communities. Several of our members work or volunteer for DFN.

Russia

Pauline and Alexei are planting churches in Russia. Their work includes running English classes and a pre-school in a number of neighbourhoods. Craig & Ian have recently joined the team from Rising Brook.

Romania

Florin and Denise are planting a church in Iasi, Romania and developing youth work, leadership training and women’s ministry across churches in the region.

Central Asia

Caroline works with SHARE Education Services helping expatriate families living in Europe, Russia, and Central Asia with their children’s education needs. Caroline herself has served in Central Asia and Russia and now travels extensively.

Middle East

Ewen and Pippa are based in the Middle East working in education and the art world, and are developing friendships and connections between faith groups.

France

Gerard and Chrissie lead Bless, a church planting and mission network based at Bethanie in Normandy. Bethanie serves as a centre of learning, a place of prayer and a sending base for mission. Churches in Livarot and Caen are being established as well as mission being inspired among young adults through through prayer, worship and creativity.
