We want to create a Jesus transformation in the next generation
Our core values
Know Jesus
We want to help children and young people encounter Jesus in our gatherings so that they learn biblical truths and develop a personal relationship with Him.
Discover gifting
We want to help children and young people discover their gifts and the unique role they are called to play in God's Kingdom.
Be known
We want children and young people to be known, valued and celebrated in their identity as children of God. We want them to be involved in co-creating spaces where they belong, serve and are accepted.
Journey together
We want to work collaboratively with families as we follow Jesus and live out our faith together.
Tots
In Tots, pre-school children learn about Jesus through an exciting programme of play, crafts, songs, stories and prayer. We want children to know:
• God made me.
• God loves me.
• Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Tots have a break for toast and water during the session. Please feel free to provide a named drink for your child.
Kids
In Kids, children of primary school age gather to learn through games, crafts, worship, stories and prayer. We want children to know:
• God loves me.
• I can trust God no matter what.
• I should love others the way Jesus loves me.
As part of the programme, children spend time in smaller groups according to age.
Youth
Young people aged 11-14 can sit with their families or our youth team until their group is announced. In Youth, young people explore the Bible, discuss faith and life together, build friendships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We want young people to know:
• God loves me and has a purpose for my life.
• I can follow Jesus in my everyday life.
• I belong as part of God's family.
Older Youth
Young people aged 14+ remain in the main meeting. They are encouraged to serve on teams throughout the month and actively participate in the life of the church. If your young person would like to join a team, please contact EMAIL ADDRESS??
General
Sunday Schedule:
Check-in for under-11s opens at 10:20am. Once inside the building, follow the signs to Kids Check-In at the back of the foyer. Families will be notified during the main meeting when it's time to collect their children, usually around 11:40am.
Check-in for Youth takes place within their group.
Children under 1 year old:
There is a space near the Kids Check-In area for families with children under 1 year old, should they wish to use it. The main meeting is streamed to a TV screen in this space. A private breastfeeding space is also available. Please speak to our Check-In Team, who will be happy to show you where these spaces are.
Second Sundays:
The second Sunday of each month runs a little differently. Tots and children up to age 7 are welcome to check in and join the team in the Tots space for a session that looks a little different from our usual programme. Children in Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11) are invited to remain in the main meeting with their families.
Allergies and Additional Needs:
We want every child and young person to feel welcome. Please let us know about any allergies, medical conditions or additional needs.
Safeguarding:
We take safeguarding seriously. All team members are safely recruited and DBS checked. For any concerns, email safeguarding@risingbrook.org
