Join us 2-4 July 2027 for our Big Church Weekend Away!
We’ll be gathering from across our church locations for a weekend of teaching, worship, youth & kids programmes, and plenty of fun including sports, games and after-hours activities.
We’ll be heading to Cefn Lea Holiday Park in mid Wales (approx. 2hrs from Staffordshire). The whole weekend will begin on Friday evening (2nd) and finish on Sunday afternoon (4th).
Programme
We’ll have a full programme of activities and sessions throughout the weekend, starting on Friday evening and finishing with lunch on Sunday.
There will also be plenty of space in the programme to spend time together outside of the teaching sessions. Alongside the organised sessions, we’ll have a range of activities, including sports, walks, a quiz and other opportunities to relax, have fun and enjoy being together.
What to bring
You don’t need to worry about packing just yet! We’ll send out more detailed information about what to bring, including bedding, towels, food and any equipment you may need, closer to the weekend.
For now, just make a note of the weekend dates and your accommodation arrangements. We’ll make sure you have everything you need to know nearer the time.
Meal Options
There are two catering options available for the weekend:
Self-catering – Bring your own food or pick up supplies from nearby Newtown. Kitchen facilities are available in the chalets.
Half board – Includes Saturday breakfast, Saturday evening meal, Sunday breakfast and Sunday roast dinner. You’ll just need to arrange your own Friday evening meal and Saturday lunch.
Information for Families
We’ll have dedicated programmes for Tots, Kids and Youth throughout the weekend, alongside sessions where we’ll all come together as a church family.
More information about the children’s and youth programmes, including session arrangements, what to bring and drop-off/pick-up details, will be shared closer to the weekend.
For now, there’s nothing you need to organise — we’ll make sure you have all the information you need nearer the time.
Ensuite Chalets
Minimum 2x people per room
Individual chalet consists of 6 Ensuite bedrooms with a shared lounge and kitchen
Standard Chalets
Between 1-6 people per room
Individual chalets consists of 3 bedrooms with a shared lounge, kitchen & bathroom
Tents and touring
Touring pitches with electric hook-up
Additional tent pitches on flat grass
Water and electricity available nearby
Shared washing area for cutlery and utensils
Showers and toilets available on site, including an accessible toilet
Waste disposal facilities provided
Leisure Homes
Minimum 4x people per home
Individual Leisure Homes consists of 3 bedrooms with a lounge, kitchen & bathroom sleeping up to 6 people
Offsite & day tickets
If you’d prefer to stay off site, that will also be possible. Weekend tickets without accommodation and day tickets will be made available nearer the time, giving you the flexibility to arrange your own accommodation to suit your preferences.
Further details on these tickets, including meal options, will be available closer to the weekend.
Accommodation options:
Camping pitch for caravan or tent, includes electric hook-up and toilet & shower facilities
Leisure home includes accommodation in one of three 2-person rooms (double or twin) with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities - recommended for couples or singles
Standard chalet includes accommodation in one of three rooms (each up to 5 people per room) with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities - recommend for families
There are a small number of family rooms with attached bathroom and/or accessible facilities available for a supplement. Please let us know if you would be interested in that option.
Catering Options
Half Board
With our half board option, for some meals over the weekend, we provide catering. The meals we cater for are; Saturday breakfast, Saturday evening meal, Sunday breakfast and Sunday roast dinner. Because we don’t cater for every meal, you will have to provide your own food for Friday evening and Saturday lunch.
Self-Catering
There are kitchen facilities available in the chalets, therefore we provide a self-catering option. So please bring your own food or acquire food from nearby Newtown.
